Responsible Services of Alcohol (RSA) Course

MA Training Academy is accredited by the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission (VGCCC) formerly the VCGLR to provide RSA training in Victoria.
Our course is informed by industry experts and designed to be informative, engaging and fun with the goal of equipping you with first class RSA training.
Course Content
Our course is delivered with VCGLR developed course material and resources to ensure the training you receive is aligned to current Victorian RSA laws, best practices, and guidelines.
By undertaking this course, you will gain the skills and knowledge to responsibly sell or serve alcohol in any workplace including all types of hospitality venues, packaged liquor outlets, wineries, breweries, and distilleries in Victoria. Our course content includes:

Pre-requisites:
There are no formal entry requirements for students looking to enrol in this course.
Entry Requirements:
MA Training Academy requires learners to have language, literacy and numeracy skills to an ACSF level 2. If you require further information on this please contact us.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and Credit Transfer (CT):
All prospective students enrolling in the course are entitled to apply for RPL or CT. For additional information, please refer to our policies available on our website.
Course Delivery
We have developed online learning resources and tools to make your learning much easier. You will be required to bring a laptop or iPad to training which means you won’t have to hand write everything on the day. We have a limited number of laptops as backup which can be booked for use in class if required.
Assessment
Assessment includes knowledge questions, practical and scenario-based assessment in a simulated RSA environment.
Course Duration:
This course is delivered face-to-face over 5 hours.
Course Location:
Keilor Park VIC or on-site.
Course Outcomes:
Upon successful completion of this course, you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for SITHFAB002 Provide responsible service of alcohol and an official VCGLR/VGCCC (Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission) branded RSA Certificate of Completion.
All courses are delivered with strict infection control practices.
Responsible Service of Alcohol in Victoria
A Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) VCGLR/VGCCC branded certificate of completion is a compulsory requirement for anybody working in an environment where alcohol is available for purchase within the state of Victoria.
Upon successful completion of this course the RSA Certificate of Completion and Statement of Attainment will be issued by MA Training Academy enabling you to work in an environment where alcohol is sold or supplied in Victoria.
FAQs
What about RSA refresher training?
Once you have completed the initial Victorian RSA course through an approved RTO, you must complete a free online refresher course every three years with VCGLR.
What if I am under 18?
A person under the age of 18 can complete an approved RSA training course but must wait until they turn 18 to use it. Please refer to our student handbook for details on our student age entry requirements.
What if I have an interstate RSA?
VCGLR recognise interstate RSA SOAs and offer a bridging course for interstate candidates to get a Victorian RSA Certificate.
