CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations (Queensland)

This is a nationally recognised qualification that aims to provide participants with the knowledge and skills that aims to assist in gaining employment as a security officer, responsible for maintaining safety and security by patrolling, protecting, or guarding property while unarmed, screening entry, monitoring behaviour and removing persons from premises.

After successfully completing this qualification you will have fulfilled the training requirements to apply for a security office and crowd controller licence through the Office of Fair Trading.

• CPPSEC2101 Apply effective communication skills to maintain security
• CPPSEC2102 Apply legal and procedural requirements to work effectively within a security team
• CPPSEC2103 Apply WHS, emergency response and evacuation procedures to maintain security
• CPPSEC2104 Apply risk assessment to select and carry out response to security risk situations
• CPPSEC2105 Provide quality services to a range of security clients
• CPPSEC2106 Protect self and others using basic defensive techniques
• CPPSEC2107 Patrol premises to monitor property and maintain security
• CPPSEC2108 Screen people, personal effects and items to maintain security
• CPPSEC2109 Monitor and control access and exit of persons and vehicles from premises
• CPPSEC2110 Monitor and control individual and crowd behaviour to maintain security
• CPPSEC2111 Apply security procedures to manage intoxicated persons
• CPPSEC2112 Apply security procedures to remove persons from premises
• CPPSEC2113 Escort and protect persons and valuables
• HLTAID011 Provide First Aid

There are no formal pre-requisites for students looking to enroll in this course

Entry Requirements:

MA Training Academy requires learners to:

• Have language, literacy and numeracy skills to an ACSF level 2. If you require further information on this please contact us.
• Be an Australian citizen, permanent resident or hold an appropriate Visa to work in Australia. Please be advised we are unable to train students on a student visa. You must find a CRICOS registered training provider.

Course Delivery:

Our course has been developed by MA Training Academy and is an easy to follow, interactive and engaging experience. You will learn from industry experts who will support you and you will have great hands-on experience during the course.

Core unit theory and essential knowledge components are delivered via eLearn and practical skills are developed through practical simulations under supervision in the classroom.

The classroom component of this course runs over 6-days (including the HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid unit) or 5 days (excluding the HLTAID011 – Provide First Aid)

All practical work is completed after the successful completion of the course eLearn modules. Once your enrolment is confirmed you will be provided with the eLearn modules and will have 3 months to complete the eLearn modules and online knowledge assessments.

Completion of the eLearn modules and online assessment prior to attending your face-to-face workshop for first is mandatory. Should you not complete your eLearn and online assessment, you will not be permitted entry to the face-to-face course.

Assessment:

Assessment will be through demonstration of knowledge through questions and answers and projects and demonstration of skills and knowledge through practical simulations of workplace activities.

Attendance:

Students must attend all training sessions.

Course Outcomes:

Upon successful completion of this Qualification, you will be issued with an official certificate; CPP20218 Certificate II in Security Operations.
