Course Overview:
This course is suitable for anyone for persons who are required to perform the role of Chief or Deputy Chief Fire Warden at their workplace.
The course is designed to ensure staff are trained in compliance with Australian Standard AS3745 Planning for emergencies in facilities, which outlines the requirements for Fire Wardens and Chief Fire Wardens.
Units of Competency:
- PUAFER005 Operate as part of an emergency control organisation
- PUAFER006 Lead an emergency control organisation

- Fire Warden and Chief Fire Warden responsibilities
- Relevant legislative requirements
- Planning for emergencies
- Emergency management processes/responses
Pre-requisites:
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Experience working with safety-related paperwork preferred
- PUAFER005 is a pre-requisite to PUAFER006 (both are covered in this course)
Entry Requirements:

We have developed online learning resources for this course to make your learning much easier. This means you don’t have to handwrite everything! During the enrolment process we can discuss any support that may be required.

Assessment includes knowledge questions, practical and scenario-based assessment.
